Test Taking Techniques: S / D

In honor of the kamikaze dive I'll be undertaking at approximately 2 PM (EST) in my super-terrific Comp Sci class. I totally blame the NYC FAP.

Really, I'm just curious if anyone's actually gotten away w/ the A-B-C-B-A multiple choice thing, and how y'all tried to buck the system in other dastardly, creative ways. I mean, regardless of how smart you are (and we're all pretty damn smart, no foolin'), you had to at least TRY cheating once, didn't you?

If in doubt, go for D. It always worked for me.

I find dozing for 5-10 minute periods whenever I get bored to be helpful (unless it's an essay test and I'm short on time, of course). Other than that I've got nothing. If I were filling in random answers I'd probably fill in all C and think "well at least SOME of them ought to be C."

If multiple choice: Always give it a go, even if it's one of those tests that deducts for wrong answers. If you can definitely eliminate one or more of the answers, your odds are better when you guess from the remaining. Not answering always means you lose the potential points, y'know? Sounds simple but you'd be surprised how many people just give up.

I am also a big fan of (on the fill-in-the-bubble tests) making a little tick mark in the proper circle, then going back after time is called and filling them in...it takes a few minutes cumulatively to do the little circles and a few minutes can really make the difference.

Don't second-guess yourself. Try to think like the test-makers.

haha yes my economics grade improved when i thought, "okay, don't think about which answer makes perfect sense, think about what the teacher was thinking when he wrote it."
