Several packages of mine have been lost in the mail in the last 5 months and I don't know how much that has to do with the royal mail strike, delays have been mentioned obviously but I can't find anything about higher than average lost mail. I've been hesitant to order as much stuff and I've been playing it more safe. Couriers often have trouble finding my home and it didn't help that one got in a big argument with my dad's co-worker, I wonder if this courier has refused to come back and if that might explain some of the lost packages. Some were rare enough books that I can't find another copy. Hope the royal mail get what they want soon but I'm not optimistic.

Never know quite what to do when something is marked as "delivered" but I can't find it. Is the courier lying? Was it stolen? Was my package too well hidden? I don't feel right asking for a refund when I don't know what happened.

Very likely stolen
I ordered a new bike lock from Amazon (I had a gift card) and it was shipped to my office (default address)... where I haven't been working since March 2020. Oh well

When was it marked as delivered? Just curious because I get that A LOT and it doesn't actually get delivered until the next day or the day after. If it's more than 2-3 days, then I would follow up with the USPS or whoever shipped it.

They gave an exact time of delivery and my dad did give the courier directions as he was passing, so he was here.

I'm a bit more reluctant to order from a seller who uses couriers because I've found royal mail more reliable than most of them, because my postman knows where I live and where to put the mail.

Package came two days later. I guess it was just marked as delivered to satisfy some unrealistic target they're obliged to meet.

Lost an Amazon package for the first time ever today. USPS claims it was delivered, Amazon backs them up, but it's nowhere to be found, and it would be easy to spot (6 1-liter bottles of seltzer and a hardcover book). They say I have to wait until Monday to officially declare it missing, so that's what I'm doing, I guess.
