there's an unfortunate street in Winter Park called "Raper Dairy" here and I have struggled to understand why the fuck it's named that and why nobody has even thought about renaming it.

only clue I found on the internet is that there is a dairy in another state called Raper Dairy, named after its unfortunately named owner, Wade Raper - so maybe he has a home here and purchased the street, idk. idk, you can't control your name man, but maybe don't name it after your surname in your case, Wade.

Wankers Corner is about 3 miles from my house and I can attest that in person it is beyond disappointing, basically the only thing there besides the intersection of two roads is a mediocre tavern. btw, it is locally pronounced 'wonker's', similar to the famous Willy. Which also sounds a bit lewd

iirc, a 'sugar tit' was a bit of rag dipped in sugar water that would be given to an fussing infant to suck on, to quiet it. sucking on a real tit would have accomplished the same thing, but wasn't always convenient.
