Saw that over the weekend, as shared on Twitter. Can't find it at the moment, but there was a thread from one of the guys (art kids from Denton) involved in it that was neat to read.

the Pricemaster's comic timing on some of the prices had me crying with laughter.

"Would you take five for this?"

"Five....... HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARRRRRRS!"

After the yard sale we hired a friend to edit the footage. And then we had this tape but nowhere to show it. We heard the local cable access station would play anything and they took it. Apparently the tape played late nights for years! Until it finally wore out.

I think I first saw this maybe...10 years ago? Damn. Amazed it's taken this long to become kind of a meme thing, it seems almost designed for it despite predating the whole rise of internet meme culture.

I was totally obsessed with it for a while, I think I even made a character in Morrowind with "PRICEMASTER" as their custom class, who specialised in bartering skills naturally.

The only real disappointment for me is that I never had the chance to see this as clearly intended...

in winter of 1995 after waking up from a too long nap, having crashed from pulling another all-nighter in design studio the night before, waking up confused about why it's already dark and quiet, with this playing on the TV in the corner, it having been left on the public access channel.

I like the observation in the comments that some 5 year old kid probably saw this happening and later on in life just assumed it was a figment of his or her imagination
