is it true that for a while Huddersfield had its own rock? what other unexpected non-resort places had rock with the name of the town in it?

Did I dream it, or were sticks of rock available at traveling fairs? If so, what was the writing in the middle? Also, is this where the idea for blue writing came from? And where has the red writing gone?
