could you complete mama's pasta challenge

i think this is a good eating challenge, because it seems realistic and possible but also challenging. i'm not one who can do it, it's too much for me. but it does seem very possible, and a friend seems very confident that he could do it, so much so that he also volunteered that he could easily eat several breadsticks afterward as well.

well, i no longer think it's possible, and local news has confirmed it's never been done. that image at the top makes it look so very possible

Oh shit, just clicked through to the video. From the initial image, I was fairly confident I could eat it, but no way. Unless there's no time limit, I'd totally hang out and feast on it all day.

I'm pretty sure I put away two pounds of pasta a few times when I was 12-14 and playing football. If I fasted for a day that's probably still doable.

xp i will take the bowser fireball challenge. i'm not great at forking all the food in my mouth quickly but that looks like a one-skillet meal. plus, who wouldn't love the bowser theme

My favorite ice cream spot is this retro diner around the corner from Candy Darling's childhood home. 'The Kitchen Sink Sundae' is 10 scoops of ice cream plus toppings & waffle wedges, served in an actual kitchen sink. If you finish it in under an hour it's on the house and you get a t-shirt. Cotton candy & rainbow cookie are the best flavors. Alas, I can't eat much ice cream. I could eat all the spaghetti, but wouldn't touch that meatball with a 10 ft. pole.

Would happily eat Bowser. I mean not now, because solid foods are not agreeing with me, but at my peak or someday.

per the video, this dish used to be smaller until the man vs. food guy rocked up and said "pshaw this is no challenge" so they made it bigger, and it looks like they haven't updated the pic on the website to reflect the new gargantuanism.

7 lbs is a good size for a full-term baby. i highly doubt i could eat an entire baby!

Even in the video, max edge-to-center distance seems comparable to a meatloaf

Spaghetti is psychologically difficult because it's hard to know how much is there at first glance and often tends to look like the same amount is still there until you get to the bottom

it depends on the snake, but i imagine the snake's wide-open mouth not being wide enough to inhale the meatball, and so it just kind of pushes the meatball and rolls it toward the lip of the plate

there are species of snicks that mainly eat eggs! it is as close as they get to being vegetarian. i looked into it when i briefly had snake fever last year, but did not want to feed little living things to anybody. since then however i have become infested with mice so i am reconsidering my stance re: sneyks
