if it was the summer, there'd be 345 new answers already! :)

Ann Diamond is rather a bore, I think. I like Goldie and Mel, and I think she might well win it.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 20 November 2002 22:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Les Dennis = first out. Start shagging NOW Amanda.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 21 November 2002 00:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Mark Owen didn't stop being famous, he just started calling himself Vernon Kay for a few years and being the worst TV host ever.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 21 November 2002 01:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, and ANNE DIAMOND MUST GO.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 21 November 2002 01:20 (twenty-three years ago)

ron (ron), Thursday, 21 November 2002 01:58 (twenty-three years ago)

vernon kay appears to be married to melinda messenger!

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 21 November 2002 10:52 (twenty-three years ago)

that looks like a really dull mob. when they had all 6 and that was it i was like *?*. where will the conflict come from? perhaps les dennis and goldie as the alpha males. melinda messenger will win.

michael wells (michael w.), Thursday, 21 November 2002 10:54 (twenty-three years ago)

they should have had ann widdecombe, bruno brookes, vanessa redgrave, michael barrymore, ms dynamite and derek bailey.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 21 November 2002 11:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I found it incredibly touching how Wee Mark and Sue were circling each other in the garden, smoking fags, like suspicious freshers on their first day at college, only to bond over a shared love of... Rufus Wainwright.

Diamond is the Daily Mail made flesh - she should stay just to create a bit of dramatic tension, which this group seems to be sorely lacking. I think Les could be this show's Tony Blackburn - winning on the basis of being a basically nice befuddled older guy. I say get rid of Goldie.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 21 November 2002 11:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Mark Owen is the nu-Alex and as such will come thired (was his "But I can't read" thing funny or not, I couldn't tell, though I liked how it put Big Brother on the spot). Sue is the less funny one and as she's being described solely as "from the bread adverts", I think her career will remain on hold. Melinda will be boring but loveable, Anne Diamond will freak people out, Les will be shown up as being a twat (first out, yes), and Goldie will come second somehow.

Graham (graham), Thursday, 21 November 2002 11:47 (twenty-three years ago)

or perhaps michael moore, jeb bush, peter brotzmann, naomi klein, anna nicole smith and winnie mandela?

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 21 November 2002 11:52 (twenty-three years ago)

My money's on Craig, the lovable scouse builder.

Oh, all right then: First out - Dennis, leaves voluntarily - Diamond, winner - Owen.

robster (robster), Thursday, 21 November 2002 12:05 (twenty-three years ago)

When I said I liked Mel, I meant Sue. I never knew which was which. Sorry!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 21 November 2002 13:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Les Dennis is gross and annoying - when he moved to Primrose Hill he made a great production of sending letters to all the local restaurants saying how much he and Amanda valued their privacy so could they please, you know, not ask for autographs or otherwise give them hassle. I mean REALLY. TONS of actual famous people live there and don't pull that shit.

I am just waiting for Goldie to lose it with Anne Diamond and go, "Oi, Cot Death, shut it!"

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 21 November 2002 13:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Les Dennis and Amanda Holden are on prime time telly = real actual famous people.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 21 November 2002 14:16 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm waiting for the moment when they all get pissed and Mark Owen comes out.

caitlin, Thursday, 21 November 2002 14:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Now I know the Manchester earthquakes were caused by the aftershock of a fucking big barrel being scraped at Channel 4.

Tag, Thursday, 21 November 2002 14:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah was very taken by little Mark and his colossal mouth.

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 21 November 2002 14:39 (twenty-three years ago)

only to bond over a shared love of... Rufus Wainwright

Clearly they must both go.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 21 November 2002 16:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Caitlin, Mark's girlfriend was in the same class as my housemate at uni and he was the star attraction at their final year show. So I doubt he'll be coming out.

Melinda looks a bit like Amanda so I think Les will start getting confused make an arse of himself before long. Ann Diamond looks and sounds like Anne Widdecombe (pointier chin, but same shelf-like bosom not helped by appalling dress sense - fetch Trinny and Susannah now!) so she can't go just yet. The best bit was Goldie's tot bawling her eyes out. Other than that, bit boring.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 21 November 2002 16:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Sue must go! I think I shall find her most annoying!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 21 November 2002 18:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Who knew that Goldie was THIRTY-SEVEN??????

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 21 November 2002 18:55 (twenty-three years ago)

But 37 is young, Dan. (The definition of young is >5 years younger than me. Also, my girlfriend is 37.)

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 21 November 2002 19:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I love the way suzy has inside info on how horrible some 'celebs' are - I love it even more that she shares some of it with ILx. It makes me feel like I'm a nicer person. Though I might not be.
