i have never watched any of the Rise of the Footsoldier franchise but i'm pretty sure they're terrible

for me, I think it's Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, because most times this naming convention is used to insinuate that the film will show you the rise to prominence of a character you're already familiar with. whereas nobody knows who the fuck Leslie Vernon is going into that movie. or mistake it to be about the English footballer

voted "Rise Of Taj" as being the least intelligible

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

I remember being mildly annoyed by this title at the time of the film's release, and I think this might be earliest example of this convention aside from 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' (which seems like it might make a little more sense in context, I don't really know, haven't seen either film) so maybe this one. These titles just wash over me now.

Having said that, it does maybe sound a bit like the title of a story in the 1960s Fantastic Four comic, which makes me like it a bit more, but in that case it should be formatted 'The Fantastic Four in: Rise ... of the SILVER SURFER!'

I've seen 3 of them and they were all middling. Rise of the planet of the apes > terminator 3 > tdkr.

Rise of the planet of the apes has the most confusing title, because it comes before Dawn of the planet of the apes.

I think part of the reason for that is they weren't sure if they'd get more than one movie out of the series initially, so they kinda crafted it as a prequel that could standalone but that could set up sequels as well if the film did well.
