sitting in the wrong seats at sporting events

I do get amused seeing the Centipede-like result that happens when one group of 5 or so are in the wrong seats and the owners of that seat are so non-confrontational that they sit in other people's seats and so on and so on until someone finally shows up and says "um these are ours" and it forces like three entire rows to do a shift

prob option 4 bc the ushers stop caring after halftime and arent checking tix as much

i only ever did this a couple of times this move always stressed me out

it’s better if you just swap tix with a friend in better seats, maybe stay in the good seats for half or a quarter, that way you actually have a ticket to show & you aren’t taking anyone elses actual seats

i've moved to empty seats at half time, wouldn't do it before or during a game usually

I’ve never moved - short of an obstructed view cheaper/worse seats just have a different charm IMO. Especially baseball, sitting in those uber-expensive field level seats kind of sucks vs. halfway up and halfway down the line.

I used to have second row, midfield seats at Orlando City soccer games. it was mega cool being within shouting distance of the players, and seeing everything up close, but in terms of watching play unfold, it was flawed because you were level with the players, so your vision of people on the far end of the field was often blocked, whereas my current upper level seats, I can actually see all of the players at once much better and get a feel for how a sequence might unfold before it does.

which doesn't mean I don't miss my old seats, just couldn't afford em anymore.

tbf only time i've moved is to sit closer to people i've gone to the match with but haven't had adjacent tix
