Sykes: probably not very funny anymore but props for having a career at all despite being "profoundly deaf" for most of it.

Pickles: more like a comic relief Corononation Street character than a Tory politician, down to the name.

The Plank is still pretty funny if you like silent comedy.

He also cowrote a lot of the Goon Show which does get samey and is as much a postwar Britain immersion test as a comedy show but I get some chuckles out of it.

It was a relief to find that some of the funny voices I'd registered as racist accents actually weren't that.

Portman: fine actor in about 500 British movies.
Porter: fine actor, often confused with Portman.
Hall: monster monster showbiz and football agent and London Jewish stereotype.
Random: kind of a one man Cabaret Voltaire was the idea I think?
