Naming the five toes: an inquiry

I was idly washing my feet after a dusty hike and noticed that the accumulation was particularly noteworthy in the gap between my baby toes and their adjacent toes. No sooner than this observation had crystalized in my overly talkative brain than I realized that, other than "the toe next to my baby toe" I had no idea what the 'common' name for that toe would be.

All five fingers have common, informal names: thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, pinky. But among toes I could only think of: big toe, baby toe. This is an egregious gap in my knowledge base.

Tell me what you call those other three toes, or whether you draw an equal blank when it comes to folksy pedal nomenclature. You may also suggest appropriate names if you so desire.

do not have an answer for you, but a friend has a weirdly shortened right (and only on the right) big toe, such that it is significantly shorter than the next one over

disappointed that the aussies haven't managed to shorten 'toe'

my big toe & second toe are the same length so big toe is really only barely skating by on reputation alone
