Meal suggestions for fussy eaters

I'm cooking for my mum, my brother and his girlfriend for the first time tomorrow in my new flat, if it was anyone else i'd make some tomato and pasta based dish but they're fussy meat eaters veering towards the traditional meat and potatoes direction.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what i could knock up for them, needs to be cheapish and i'd like to avoid using my oven if possible.

god i hate ppl like that (apologies, i know they're your family and that). fry some sausages and boil some potatoes/make MASH. it's cheap, filling, and above all BORING. if you're trying to do something more fancy um you could do a stew i suppose? i'm not good with meat recipes, sorry.

I was thinking of making stovies which has the sausage and potato element, you just slice potatoes and onions, layer them in a pot add a little water and seasoning and boil it down to a nice mush, adding the sausages halfway through. They can take what they're give, it's nice of me to offer them dinner in the first place.

As if your surprised to get this reccomendation from me- Make your own Peanut Butter Sandwiches. Blend different things into fresh PB : Jelly, Honey, Chocolate, Caramel, Marshmallow fluff etc. Have a plate of different kinds of fresh fruit- Bananas, Oranges, Apples etc. Get several different types of bread and fire up the toaster or sandwich maker!!!

Just hope that no one is allergic to nuts and/or doesn't like Peanut Butter.....

Oh I didnt see the meat thing- You can rub PB on Hamburgers. I think its gross but the bar down the street says the "Nutter Burger" is their best seller
