I've just got to the bit where Julian has started self mutilating. Good god, I've read slash where he's bulimic, an incest victim, and now he's self mutilating. It's so ... I can't think of the word. It's heart-rending the way this stuff is like the only form of self expression for teenage girls, that they project their own nightmares onto popstars in order to deal with them. Yet it's sickly fascinating.

Because the weird bits and odd tone in their relationship facinated me at the time. Also, like I wrote in the introduction, I liked the challenge of trying to get the feel of their music onto pixel, so to speak. I'm not too crazy about that one, mostly because I don't think I got Bob and Grant's personalities quite right.

I also love the fact there was a Suicide fanfic on that site. Hot Alan Vega action!

Now, this one came out exactly like I'd planned. I'd wanted it just as rough and theaterical as the music, and that's just how it wrote itself. (I've got this strange mania for making my bandfic read just like the music sounds, see.)
