yes.

fact: when i was small i thought "on the buses" was the best show to ever grace the small screen!

(i didn't understand a word of it but i liked the uniforms and the funny fellow with the moustache who was always angry about something. also our tv was b&w and i liked the fact that i knew the buses were red, whereas the colour of eg.the scooby gang's mystery machine remained a frustrating mystery for years)

G727A! Bus Grant Continuity!

Dave Fischer, Saturday, 23 November 2002 22:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Back in the day when the 29 (Victoria to Enfield Town at the time, now cruelly curtailed to Trafalgar Square to Palmers Green) was crew operated, I remember being stuck in a traffic jam in Charing Cross Road and the conductor had to get off the bus for some reason. The driver didn't realised that she had and when the traffic started moving again he drove off leaving her behind! It was pretty comical seeing her running behind the bus and I daresay the driver would've gone on for ages without her had a tall Glaswegian passenger in a long grey overcoat not got up out of his seat, stormed up to the glass partition behind the drivers cab, tapped on the glass and asked in a loud voice "NOW WHAT KIND OF IQ HAVE *YOU* GOT, MR BUS DRIVER?!"
