Deep Philosophical Question: If you installed a third arm in your right armpit, does that mean you no longer have a right armpit, or do you now have two right armpits?

Is the armpit like a hole that once filled, is no longer a hole?
Moreover is it a specific anatomical area?
If it is, then what do you call the demi-gaps between both sides of your new arm?

I'd have to look at the design specs first. There are multiple ways this could be done, depending on how you remodel the right shoulder and whether the results are meant to be functional or merely decorative. /technical_quibbles

maybe should go in weird wikipedia details thread but in this play the arm is growing from the back somehow?

He should have put it in the right armpit!

The play ran for only 16 performances, at least one of which was booed during the curtain call. Albee did not have another new play performed in New York City for the next 11 years.

How I break it down to an extent: The new arm is growing out of the existing armpit, so it is technically not a right or left arm but an armpit arm. It has its own pit, which is the armpit arm pit.

So, you still have an armpit, but you now also have an armpit armpit.

I was thinking when people do robot dances they usually tuck their elbows in to mimic lack of articulation of a robot but does that mean robots where arms can only move on the vertical axis do not have armpits?

There's no gap between arm and torso where you can point to a pit.
