Yeah, I know, I'm a trendy poseur, a couple of years behind the trend at that, blah blah blah, and the blurb - "he saved french crime lit. from the drudgery of the police procedural" doesn't really sell me like it should cuz I like police procedurals, but I've ordered The Prone Gunmen anyway.
