this movie was completely hilarious and i loved it

this is kind of a niche thing but i like how the lead character's name is "kate" and people are always yelling "KATE" at her and every time i would react like they were yelling my name, which they were, because my name is Kate

i don't think i've ever had that experience seeing a movie in the theater before

they shouldn't have smooched but the guy should have taken his shirt off. when you have a movie with a plot like that the guy needs to take his shirt off.

He doesn't take his shirt off? I thought Glenn Powell was contractually obligated to remove his shirt.

I saw the lack of kiss as an homage to classic ending of Big Trouble in Little China where Jack Burton declines to kiss Gracie Law

yeah, you don't want the audience for TWISTER PART 2: MORE & BIGGER TWISTERS thinking you went over-the-top or anything

i haven't seen the first movie but this movie has a (incredibly obvious) hallmark movie twist on that plot

i don't find glenn powell hot specifically, it's just about the context, the context just seems to cry out for it

there's one character in the film i'd characterize as a "weather nerd", the rest of them are just weather witches and wizards pretending like they're doing science

which for the record i am totally cool with. it's a fantasy romance film about tornadoes.

so dumb so charming so fun

felt like this nailed exactly where it was aiming

nb properly proper main female lead role and no need to make a show of it, our two guys left helping out at the theatre

also im pretty sure every guy with more than five lines fell completely in love with her which was nice, i mean this movie has everyone behave _normally_ around the two incredibly goodlooking main stars which i felt was intentionally

nbb irish actor in this (the whisked away boyfriend) is gonna be huge

sound design was so crucial and they nailed it, i felt crushed into my seat for about half the running time

was told to go see this in 4dx and it delivered in 4dx

however, disturbed at the way in which minority-owned small businesses are portrayed in this movie :|

Exhausting, of course, but basically okay. Really liked the lead actress, who I've never seen before. Major sin: wasting two people from two of my favourite works of art this century (Kiernan Shipka from Mad Men, Sasha Lane from American Honey). "Really--you're going to kill me off in the first 15 minutes? Don't you know I'm Sally Draper?" A couple of unintentional laughs, e.g. the first time Glen Powell gets serious and starts talking science.

all the laughs in this are intentional

Powell's swagger? Suited the character, but I didn't actually laugh--not a fan. I did like a couple of the songs, none of which I knew.
