From everything I've heard, he is a very good manager. But him being competent is the least exciting possibility, so hopefully he continues in the tradition of his predecessor.

Old Trafford is where promising managerial career come to die, after all. But there will obviously be a decent bounce for the short term.

The stakes are higher given he actually is highly rated, but yes, if he fails it will be even funnier.

I was thinking this season is sort of a gimme but I'm not entirely sure - like there are almost too many games for that to be the case. Nobody will be demanding he gets into top four but it will be pretty clear if he's going to be any good by the end of the season.
