YELLOWSTONE is compelling

but no smarter than most other huge hit shows, but it still probably deserves a thread

too much happens but lordy dont it look good happening

more people die per episode than the sopranos and its even dumber than breaking bad

im buying all the outfits but im buying none of the plot

My wife likes this show a lot and I was resistant, but totally roped in by the exact ridiculous things you note. It does look very good which the dumbest shit imaginable happens. Feel like it'll get even better without Costner's dumb growl in this new season.

Also, I saw someone wearing a Yellowstone branded "EVERY GIRL NEEDS A LITTLE RIP IN HER JEANS" t-shirt the other day.

im trying not to spoil any of this but with the plotlines and the hitrate so far im very surprised how many of the cast i see credited with 40+ episodes tbh

ive read that they settle down a bit after season 1 which id be glad of because its absolute nonsense whats gone on so far and if it continues ti happen without any consequences beyond the credits then its no bettwr than, well, breaking bad

our patriarch here is worse than any protagonist villain i can recall, he doesn't realise it and im not sure the show knows it tbh

i watched for awhile and then realized i didn't care if everyone was murdered because they are all horrible. i did think that the steamy bunkhouse stuff with all the branding and people being owned by the ranch was pretty insane and then i thought: wait, do republicans like this stuff? they must. i have no doubt it has a huge red state viewership. and it made me realize how perfect cole hauser would be in a movie version of James Purdy's Narrow Rooms.

oh its all pretty insane and i dont think it sits still long enough to figure out if we are on anyones side at all

i started watching & then kinda trailed off mid season … i do want to pick it up again eventually

i found it funny/nice that Cole Hauser found a home on this hit tv show after being Oh Yeah That Guy in so many straight-to-Dvd/Redbox movies

its a hell of if a role for him alright
