Anyone else listening? S5 was recently released. From their site:
After covering the Iraq War, the Cuban Revolution, the Korean War, and the Afghanistan conflict – Season 5 of Blowback will feature the story of Cambodia, Kissinger and the Khmer Rouge.
recurring character Henry Kissinger's shown up again. starting to think this guy was not on the up-and-up

I listened to the first season and it was pretty good, but I have a limited capacity for feeling bummed out and it definitely bummed me out.
I have a hard time with Podcasts because the hosts almost always start getting on my nerves. I wonder if I’m more of an audiobook person.

Blowback is a series I know I’d dig, but I’ve never spent much time with.

Haven't started S5 yet but Blowback is the only true-crime podcast I listen to

I feel they switched tones xxp, first season was very sarcastic/cynical/online then they got a lot more straight-laced toning down the jokes etc. perhaps because iraq war was lived history and many of its boosters are easy to clown on

oops hit send too early- easy to clown on ~on twitter~. the other seasons will still be a bummer but they seemed to make a deliberate choice to 'mature' in their presentation

yeah, I think that's fair. the number of interviews and primary sources has definitely increased each season, too
