Actually got to chat with him almost two years ago and he couldn't have been nicer - I think this was right when he was finishing Maggie Moore(s) because he mentioned he was finishing up a film he directed that was going to play in Tribeca. It's pretty great that once he got his lottery gig with Mad Men, he used it to pretty much leverage his own personal projects. Obviously he still pops up in high profile television/streaming shows, but at this point his heart's clearly in independent films.
