If you were a ghost, would you want a pen?

I'm arguing this with my mom right now. I mean I reckon you would but she thinks ghosts would be all knowing and can do whatever they like. I said as may be but that doesn't make their memories any better and what if they needed someone's number? She said they don't have pockets but I don't get that - are ghosts naked?

Well?

they wear those sheets don't they? maybe there are pockets on the inside

anyway girl ghosts won't have pockets cz pockets for girls were only like invented in the mid-90s on combat pants and you never see ghosts in combat pants

What about the ghosts of ravers?

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:35 (twenty-three years ago)

They roam the world looking for seratonin and parties that don't play drum and bass.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:36 (twenty-three years ago)

They might wear combats under their sheets.

I'd definitely want a pen so I could write weird stuff on mirrors and so on, I'd get bored of clattering chains after a while.

mark s (mark s), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:38 (twenty-three years ago)

You don't write on mirrors using pen. You use lipstick, or BLOOD!!!!!

C J (C J), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:40 (twenty-three years ago)

m,y grandad wanted to meet a ghost so he could ask him some big-ass important question, but i forgot what it was

mark s (mark s), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:40 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd be more into appearing to Whoopi Goldberg in hollywood films

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Ghosts Can't Do It

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:44 (twenty-three years ago)

CJ you use soap then the message only spookily appears when it steams up

mark s (mark s), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Do you have to get another ghost to breathe heavily on the mirror then?

C J (C J), Monday, 25 November 2002 21:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Ooh err, etc.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ectoplasm orgasm! my new band!

jel -- (jel), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Everyone here is always starting bands, I'm left out.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:12 (twenty-three years ago)

CJ, you weren't supposed to notice the flaw in my post. Anyway, writing on stuff is FUN, and who'd want to be a ghost if they didn't get to be a full-on stuff-hurling shrieking poltergeist writing on and with anything and everything, hm? (Too much time as a child spent reading that Thomas Kemp book, I suppose.)

I am not always starting bands. Who will start a band with me? I can play... er... well, I could possibly play the tambourine if you didn't want me to be in time or look cool or anything.

Rebecca (reb), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:18 (twenty-three years ago)

(Kempe. Wasn't sure which it was.)

Rebecca (reb), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:21 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll start a band with you Rebecca! The Shrieking Poltergeists - we can chuck things at the audience. I can read music and have my own recorder. And a melodica, but I've lost the mouthpiece.

C J (C J), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Melodicas are great! I have a guitar but I can't play it so I'll just tune all the strings to D and drone away and not notice when they all go out of tune with each other.

Meanwhile, in the "??!!!" department...

Customers who shopped for this item also wear:
- Clean Underwear from Amazon's Target Store
- Ladybug Rain Boots from Amazon's Nordstrom Store
- Flannel-Lined Jeans from Amazon's Eddie Bauer Store
- Cheetah Print Slippers from Amazon's Old Navy Store

Rebecca (reb), Monday, 25 November 2002 22:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I have a melodica! (my friend Joe refers to them as "those f****** jamaican bagpipes").

I am not sure if Amazon's Target store is now the best store on the Internet or the nadir of human civilization. It could go either way.

the idea of being a ghost is that you don't have your own stuff, you just use the pens and whatnot of the living. that's how to frighten them.

rainy (rainy), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 03:23 (twenty-three years ago)

A pen? No. A ghost writer? Yes. Hell, I want that now.

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 06:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I remember when I was at primary school our teacher told us that it was better to write in blank verse than make forced rhymes. I shall never forget the example he gave of a forced rhyme: "I saw a ghost eating toast halfway up a lamp post".

Ghosts aren't all knowing, otherwise they would know there was no point haunting anywhere, coz ppl would be bound to dismiss their effots as tricks of the light, will o' wisp, janitors with grudges ect ect.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 10:16 (twenty-three years ago)
