i'm not sure i can gatekeep american processed cheese food considering how much i enjoy going to the artisanal vegan cheese shop down the street. when i lived in the midwest people made fun of portlanders for saying sentences like that but i say it on purpose now. the guy who runs it is a normal guy and his business is a normal business. i wish i had a dream like he does and was willing to go to the lengths he does to put it into practice.

i shared an amazing combo of portland in midwest cheese plate the other day, with a combo of delicious vegan cheese and a "cheese plate combo" from aldi that was heavy on the quantity but low on quality (and as a result, cost effective all the same)
