Basic answer -- fiction involving two or more figures (can be fictional, can be real) usually getting it on in very interesting ways. The slash comes from the punctuation mark used to indicate the pairings or more -- thus: Kirk/Scott, Thom/Jonny, etc. Beloved of Trekkies first, now often applied to bands, thus this thread. ;-)
