I am a true blonde..

Ok. 3 days ago I went to get highlights of dark brown and light blonde in my dirty blonde hair. The person who did my hair did it completely wrong. I asked for light blonde, dark brown, the rest natural in the front on each side and she turns my whole head into a zebra pattern. I thought it looked kind of cool at first but when I wanted to put my hair up the next day, it appeared that I had a dark shaved mohawk, since my natural hair color blended in with my skin and the dark colo was all you could see. It was horrible and I nearly went crazy. Now I need a cheap way without going to a salon or re-dying my hair so that it will look human again. Help me please.

Wear a hat?

(seriously, can't you re-dye it yourself with something which might blend it all in and tone it down a bit. Use loads of really good quality conditioner to minimise damage to your hair)

yep i would re-dye it too, but go for a light-ish brown tone that will connect the 2 colours you now have, so they look less stripey. also, by not lightening it you minimise damage ( apparently ).

Am I alone in thinking that 99 times out of 100 women dying their hair makes it look worse - pretend, or contrived, or try-hard or whatever? Even the dullest natural colour appeals to me more.

(and yes, I'm sure on many occasions what I perceive to be natural is in fact dyed, which makes me wonder if the only problem is dye jobs that *try* to look dyed - the 5 different shades of blonde, etc.)

Go back to the salon and complain and get them to put it right. If it wasn't what you asked for, they should sort it out.
