Found out I had been pronouncing "flaccid" wrong, but the correct pronunciation sounds really turgid to me.

I've never heard it spoken like that, and my doctor has never corrected me. Wait, I've said too much.
It made me think of the word 'hacceity', which *is* pronounced like that. So I suppose there is precedent (pronounced prekedent).
