Did someone steal your parcel? What was in it?

And how will you prevent them from ripping you off again?

Not in many a year, but back in the '90s I had a problem with this. After a while I became convinced it was the guy who lived downstairs from me — this was in a big old house that had been divided into 4 apartments. I talked to the Post Office about it, and they gave me a sticker to put on my mailbox in big red letters saying that mail theft was a felony. That did seem to solve it, whether it was our neighbor or someone else, they got the message that we were on to them.

But these days I'd just put a little camera out there.

Most of what got stolen was CDs from Columbia House I think lol.

we had a real issue until my landlord heightened the little fence up the stairs, and then coughed up the dough to buy a real Ft. Knox style mailbox

I put little bells up on the fence and I used to fly out the door with a walking stick, at like 3am... yelling bloody murder. Haven't had the need in a couple years

But the building next to me has a locked lobby, so Amazon drivers often just leave shit on the porch... found two torn-open boxes yesterday

Omg … I have to explain to the customer service people online that leaving a package outside the gate to my building is the equivalent of putting it on the corner with a sign that says “FREE!”
