Pythagoras switch is a kids educational show from Japan that I run into every time I travel to and through the somewhat diminished English version on Nhk world. I’ve had a love for for it but introducing it to my toddler has been a blast.
It’s a mixture of science, maths, language nature songs and silliness, apparently film in nhk’s smallest stationary cupboard.
Every episode starts with janken souchi (rube Goldberg machine) and then we get the algorithm exercise song, or potato meeting or a counting song or a puppet mole wondering about what a balloon dam is.
I just found my way to the NHK school’s website which allows you to watch them without a vpn. Enjoy

Oh and that Brutus article mentions that the studio also made teixico which is another great one to teach kids logic and ‘how to think like a programmer’

was one of the things I used to love about youtube when it first showed up – me and my friends at university would share clips of the show, that's how we discovered them
