I have my phone VPN set to Canada (actual location = USA) and I was shocked to discover recently that Canadian Amazon, while just as full of disposable Chinese dropshippery, displays its search results prominently tagged "Plastic", "Metal", etc. When you search for the same items on US Amazon, you have to open the page for the individual item, scroll down a full screen or more, and hit "Product specs" just to see what it's made of. Usually it's easier/faster to filter for negative reviews and look for someone saying "This looked like solid wood on the listing but it's actually particleboard with a couple wood accents" or w/e. Consumer society here is so cooked.
