What does that mean, what are you talking about, is this something that everyone besides me is aware of?

Afaik, the Sandbox was/is an alt-ILX for times when ILX was down, now a breeding ground for ILX 2.0 or whatever.

XP It is a new version of ILX software. In fact, it is a total rewrite, and it's on the sandbox.

Older ILXors will remember the sandbox. It's a test site for new stuff, it's been there for decades, and it was used when the old thing started breaking due to load.

Hot takes probably not... Feedback once stuff has sunk in is good. Initial reactions to anything new are usually hostile! Although what I want isn't going to stop people one way or another.

Thank you. Been working on it since April '25 or so. There is a new Zing that integrates with it too that stet has done, which has more stuff in it and will no doubt take on more features in time, as all the features are exposed in a way that lets Zing integrate with them (unlike this one).

I don't know a thing about programming but this does look a lot of work has gone in to it by keith & stet.

I love the new polls with different styles of results and voting options. Ranked options! Which we have all requested for years and Keith has delivered.

xp -- if you bump the type size up sufficiently or reduce the window size, SNA/Recent Activity goes all the way across and New Threads moves below that. I make browser text really big so I always forget that Recent Activity and New Threads are laid out side by side.

It's a browser setting. I'm in Safari on a Mac, so just go CMD-+ on any page to bump type size up until it's where you like it. I like to read the web sitting back with my feet up on my desk with my glasses off, so I bump shit up REALLY big.

It's not actually the font size that's doing it, but it does have that effect. It works to fit what it can on the size of screen it has, so if you make it smaller it changes the view to fit the screen—if you make your font size larger, it multiplies up the point at which it makes those changes.

i'm sorry i keep complaining but i know how to zoom in and out on a web browser.. when i do that it disrupts the centering of the layout. and there's still those huge blank spaces on the left and right that look really convenint spots for ads or something lol
