A little something for everyone on this disc!, November 22, 2002

There is little doubt now that David Husselshaft is a major force in the music business these days. I've already been a fan for many years, but an amazing thing happened recently which I have to share. The doctor said my dog Cherish had only days to live. Desperate for any sign of recovery, I played this CD in the garage for him 24/7, and not only did my dog die, but so did 2 cats and all of my plants. My neighbor came down with a rare form of stomach virus, the one causes massive cramping and explosive diarrhea. Boy did I prove that doctor wrong!

PS: I didn't do it

Aural Ecstasy poured into your Ear Trumpet, 20 November, 2002

This is a creatively challenging album, which uncomfortably straddles many musical genres. David roars like a turtle through the screeching monster rock opera that is ‘Highway to your heart’. Although this album can't truly capture the magic of David's live performances (who can forget his legendry 1980 UK sellout tour of the Mr Wimpey burger chain) this album does however paint an intimate portrait of David Hasselhof the man. One can imagine a young teenage David playing hopscotch with his friends, singing along to Boney M (probably Ra Ra Rasputin or Ma Baker) and inwardly yearning to one-day sing just like them. Well track four ‘Do the limbo dance’ realises David’s teenage Boney M dream.

This album has it all, the highs the lows, the heartache and the pain, the laughter and the rain. I must also add a word of warning to pet owners: Do not put headphones on your cat’s ears and play this album to him/her!
Francis (my cat) was ill and needed cheering up, so as a treat I popped the headphones on him and played him his favourites ‘Dance dance d'amour’ and ‘Flying on the wings of tenderness’. All was well and he seemed to be perking up until I introduced a new and daring track entitled ‘Hot Shot City’ Francis responded in a terrifying display of hissing and twitching. The vet told me that Francis the cat had been seriously quadraspazzed by David’s mind bending rendition of this Edith Piaf classic. I’m sure David will be pleased to know that Francis no longer leans to the left when walking and can now walk properly again although he does still cry in his sleep.

"I believe that God has blessed Hassselhofff with many fine things. Lush hair, a winning smile, a talking car. But nothing, NOTHING is as important as the gift of divine melodic construction that the Lord saw fit to bestow on this fine auteur's shoulders."
