A disheveled man wakes up underground in an spelunking outfit with spelunking tools and an air pump. Fygars and Pookas emerge around him. At first he runs from them, but then is forced to use a sadistic form of violence to stay alive. midway through, the viewer begins to ask - who is the bad guy? Ken Watanabe plays a business executive who secretly organized this torture as Dig Dug wronged him years ago.
