Nicolas Cage and Antonio Banderas will star in the HBO anthology’s next season, which is set to begin filming in 2027. Both stars have been rumored to be attached to the show for some time. HBO is keeping story details locked away for now, but it did offer up character names for the two stars: Cage will play Henry Logan, and Banderas will play Rai Garcia. Night Country showrunner Issa López will serve in the same capacity in season five (in addition to writing and directing). López executive produces with Daniel Zelman, Mari Jo Winkler, Kathleen McCaffrey, Cage, Banderas, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, series creator Nic Pizzolatto, season one director Cary Joji Fukunaga and season one stars Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.

Was hoping it would be Cage in both lead roles.
