Nah, just momus, aged 7. He'd probably kill for that outfit now though.

I own this shirt and find a place to wear it only about once a year...I wish it could be more often. Damn work and their stupid dress codes.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

good god, teeny, that's hot!!!

(this is one of the many nice things about being in a band... you automatically have a place to wear all those clothes that are too sexy/outrageous/stupid (delete as applicable) to wear any place else.)

kate, Tuesday, 3 December 2002 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Kim, I'll buy you a drink if you wear that to the next FAP.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 19:41 (twenty-two years ago)

You don't think a tiara is a bit over the top for pub wear? But eh, anything for a free beer.

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

No Mark, that is not me (note thread title: clothes you would like to wear (kinda) but can't or dursn't ).

I did used to have that haircut a while back but now my hair is short and blonde.

toraneko (toraneko), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 03:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Short and blonde? We've not seen a photo since this change! This isn't just for some middle-aged interweb perv reason, it's, er, um...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 13:05 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not so much that I'm leery of wearing a dress like this, just that I have no prospect of ever having to dress up so formally.

but look at the evil cat!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

also, I keep meaning to shave my nether-hair into a 'G'.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

like so:
http://www.condenast.co.uk/dcontent/images/vogue_2000/daily_updates/daily_images/g_j/guccigad03_B.jpg

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

He is the exact opposite of my cat, actually. I mean, like, they are the ying and yang of cathood. It kind of bothered me and I ignored it a bit.

That's really fucking well composed though. Whenever I used to do photography and take photos like that, they'd come out with like everyone blurry or like a big huge eye in the way. Or I'd stick my finger in the lens.

xpost--WHOA. You totally should do that.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

That looks so impossibly hard to do. You absolutely have to.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I'm going to leave that look to the professionals. Still, maybe I could do an 'S'.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe you could go to the salon and they could do it for you. Actually I think the 'S' would be harder because it's more curvy than the 'G'.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 20:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I still haven't worn that skull-and-crossbones tee for over a year! :(

I always wanted Bowie's shiny I-have-no-idea-what-space-age-fabric-it-was-made-of shirt that he wore on the Outside tour, but was vividly aware that if you broke down "being able to get away with wearing this" into discrete prerequisites, I fulfilled none of them except "possesses sunglasses such as to provide protection from accidentally blinding oneself when passing a reflective surface" and "does not wither when attracting attention."

I am currently gearing up to start the whole "work my ass off" program, so eventually one day I might be able to wear a dress very similar to this:

http://www.zoeball.net/gallery/Blue%20dress%20(hands%20behind%20head).jpg

Oh God, what I would give to be able to pull something like this off at this moment.... *sighs* I'll have to just work like a dog for two years or something.

If I had stick thin legs, I would wear crazy patterned and bright pants with solid coloured shirts, instead of the other way around as I do now. Having striped pants look good on me is a frequent daydream. Darned spoil-sport curves!

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:09 (twenty-one years ago)

There should be a FAP where you're not allowed in unless you dress in yr can't/daren't clothes.

Then each person can tell all their IRL friends that they didn't _want_ to dress that way, ohe no, but they _had_ to, cos all those freaky ILXors made them.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Given the current Nigel Spivey/RAF obsession, this:

http://www.flightjacket.com/images/b3front.jpg
http://www.flightjacket.com/images/A5_small.jpg

It's all about the weird leather straps around the neck. ROWR!!!

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

what the FUCK are those trousers for!!??

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Flying about in airplanes. And/or strange bondage practices involving history presenters. Maybe.

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

"by now, the windows of the c-47 dakota were totally steamed up. Nigel looked into my eyes, and slipped the leather straps off my shoulders" (etc)

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

We've already been through this, and it turned out to be a Mosquito from a Pathfinder squadron.

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

more room in a c-47, and easier to bale out of! (entrance/egress to mosquito thru tiny narrow hatch)

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 7 November 2003 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Its not that I wouldn't wear these - I totally would - I just cant walk in spike heels. Or any heels for that matter.

I would also TOTALLY wear that latext/PVC tee and shorts teeny posted upthread, but I need to lose weight first! :/

Thirdly - Andrew, I've been known to dress in jeans, short tees, chokers and pigtails like the chicky you posted there =)

http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2363/1091/1600/VoguecoverFeb06.jpg

Sigh. It's quite similar to a frock coat I already have (though that is brown and gold, not blue and silver) but mainly, I just wish I still had the body to carry off trousers like that. Oh yes, and the money to afford ballenwhatever

She's In Parties (kate), Tuesday, 7 February 2006 14:22 (nineteen years ago)

I can't see that pic, Kate.

I have a green dress like the vintage pattern J.lu posted up above, but sadly I have nowhere to wear it.
