Rosemary will be celebrating her birthday this Friday. Felicity and I have proposed an evening of dinner followed by the El Vez show at the Bowery Ballroom (assuming this isn't sold out). Any other NYCers fancy an El Vez?

El Vez was the bestest! My favorite bits were when "In The Barrio" turned into "Champagne Supernova" (or "souped up Chevy Nova" ha ha) and when El Vez put the Virgin of Guadelupe's roses in his back pocket and said "hey, look at me, I'm Morrissey" in a shout out to Mary, obviously. And Tammy Faye Starlite was also fantastic! felicity, Mary, and I stole a reserved table with an excellent view, so we rule.

yes, the best part about our VIP table squatting at El Vez was when the bouncer came and asked rosemary where "Steve" was and she batted her eyes at him pseudo-vacantly until he gave up and went away. Hooray for rosemary!
