Oxygen freaks vs. press freedom

Actually this is a serious question and answers from those in the publishing trade particularly welcome - doesn't anyone worry about the effect of banning tobacco advertising on magazine funding? Who else has pockets deep enough to support all the 'style' mags etc that, like it or not, still represent a tiny glimmer of somethingorother for all the frustrated writers/artistes etc (not that there's any here of course)?

I don't particularly worry about it, but sure: it's a huge and productive industry in lots of ways, which is exactly what its many many lobbyists are spending their days telling the relevant Congressmen. But regardless of whatever "freedoms" one wants to debate concerning smoking and advertising, I tend not to buy the "harms industry" argument when it comes to environmental regulations or labor standards, so I can't really start with this one.
