From a postcard/general antique fair! I'll try and find out if there are any coming up, you can get lots of good old postcards of London places.

Or did you want modern ones?

That is so cute. But what is the mascot, a giant Its A Knockout-esque Canary Wharf.

I remember the Post Office on Aldwych (next to the LSE) had a decent selection, both of less-touristy modern ones and reproductions of antique cards.

i havent seen any postcards of different areas of london (thought there might have been greenwich or camdens ones), whereas manchester seems to have them (urmston, stretford, chorlton green etc)

I could make you one for Clapton and then send it to you maybe.

They used to be common, even up to the 1960s. I sold one of Eltham High Street that was certainly 1960s.

I know where you can get postcards of Crouch End, if you really want one.

yes, though i'm mainly interested in 'current' postcards (not heritagized, or second hand ones)

terry lennox. (gareth), Sunday, 18 December 2005 15:57 (nineteen years ago)

Well, if you're that keen, go to Banners (bar/cafe) in Crouch End and you can buy a couple of 'current' (actually 1994) postcards - one an aerial view, and the other a collage of four pictures including one of Budgens.
