Aren't they great?

B, Saturday, 7 December 2002 05:39 (twenty-two years ago)

webcrack (music=crack), Saturday, 7 December 2002 06:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Leee (Leee), Saturday, 7 December 2002 07:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Minna I'm sure there's some sort of implant or procedure you can undergo.

nabisco (nabisco), Saturday, 7 December 2002 07:14 (twenty-two years ago)

just find a 20-ft-long snake to bite you right there

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Saturday, 7 December 2002 08:02 (twenty-two years ago)

classic, and voluminous

Mike Hanle y (mike), Saturday, 7 December 2002 15:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I think those dimples are over the sacroiliac joint - the sacrum being the V shaped bit at the base of the spine and the ilium being the wide wing bits of the hip. Some bois have them too. They are tres sexy on girls. Maybe you have them, Minna, and just can't see them!

toraneko (toraneko), Sunday, 8 December 2002 06:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Come to think of it, I haven't seen my sacroiliac joint lately either....

B, Sunday, 8 December 2002 06:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Classic, no doubt.

OCP (OCP), Sunday, 8 December 2002 07:15 (twenty-two years ago)

they are proof that women are descended from violins

(doorag), Sunday, 8 December 2002 22:39 (twenty-two years ago)

o i do hope so toraneko! but if not, as i suspect, i will follow nabisco's advice and have a sacroiliplasty. doorag i think i love you.

minna (minna), Monday, 9 December 2002 01:04 (twenty-two years ago)

seven months pass...
Revive!

Certainly, they come from the snake playfully biting your back as a courtship display?

Leee (Leee), Friday, 1 August 2003 06:19 (twenty-one years ago)

How do you get them?

Mary (Mary), Friday, 1 August 2003 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic...and useful for filling with soy sauce and wasabi when you're eating sushi off the back of a nude woman.

Marcel Post (Marcel Post), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

oh god, OF COURSE somebody had to come up with an " eating raw fish" joke.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

You could have tried harder.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Somehow I find this thread more life-affirming than anything ever on ILX.

amateurist (amateurist), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I have those things. I've always wondered where they came from.

Mandee, Friday, 1 August 2003 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

They always seem to be on women w/big hips. Any connection?

oops (Oops), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

if i could draw women's bottoms that good i'd never leave the house

stevem (blueski), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

so so so sexy.

ok, back to my sandwich...

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

They always seem to be on women w/big hips. Any connection?

Snakes love women with big hips.

Leee (Leee), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

what about that weird thing on some women's right arms?

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

The smallpox vaccine scar? How old are these women?

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

no, not that.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 1 August 2003 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

looks like a prop from the first Conan movie.

and the album cover is so targeted at being airbrushed onto the walls of somebody's van.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Saturday, 2 August 2003 01:48 (twenty-one years ago)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Saturday, 2 August 2003 02:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer, what weird thing?

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 2 August 2003 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I was referring to the woman's arm on the album cover - but I don't think anyone picked up on it!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Saturday, 2 August 2003 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Clever, clever ;)

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 2 August 2003 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd call that weird thing a bracelet.

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Sunday, 3 August 2003 00:38 (twenty-one years ago)

yes of course, but... oh nevermind.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Sunday, 3 August 2003 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm very skinny and slim-hipped but have had the dimples since puberty...why are they missing from some people?

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 3 August 2003 04:13 (twenty-one years ago)

i guess i'm not descended from violins.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 3 August 2003 04:17 (twenty-one years ago)

you're descended from pure rock and roll fury. no room for violins.

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 3 August 2003 04:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Just checked, and I've totally got 'em.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 3 August 2003 20:02 (twenty-one years ago)

me too. so much for oops' big-hipped theory.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Sunday, 3 August 2003 20:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I've got the hips too.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 3 August 2003 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

A friend of mine who had them - and was pretty small-hipped, and tinytiny - said it was because she had massive strong back muscles.

cis (cis), Sunday, 3 August 2003 21:59 (twenty-one years ago)

This thread is making me want to see my girlfriend.

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 3 August 2003 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Chill...I'll have her home soon.

oops (Oops), Sunday, 3 August 2003 22:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Much appreciated. Women eh?

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 3 August 2003 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

What about that weird bulge in guys' throats?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Monday, 4 August 2003 09:38 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe it fits in the dimples.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 4 August 2003 11:40 (twenty-one years ago)

What about those weird bulbous fleshy things that hang from women's chests?

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Monday, 4 August 2003 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan Perry's hands?

Lara (Lara), Monday, 4 August 2003 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Do those hang or grab on with force?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 4 August 2003 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

The hang when they've been slapped off.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 4 August 2003 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Compelling evidence that each woman should have two men.

Leee (Leee), Monday, 4 August 2003 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Beautiful.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 4 August 2003 20:01 (twenty-one years ago)

They are called Dimples of Venus.

Really. Do a search, if you don't believe me.

Judge Mentalist (Judge Mentalist), Monday, 4 August 2003 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

A search, eh? Be glad to.

oops (Oops), Monday, 4 August 2003 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

The are depressions in the fat and will have none of them.

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
I like the bit of this thread where Kim "checks" and suddenly she realizes she "totally" has the uber-sexy small-of-back dimpling. (There's some level on which this is like a guy turning around and unzipping his pants and going "oh wow, weird, it is like fourteen inches long.")

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 15 March 2005 22:58 (twenty years ago)

'Cause he already would've known he had a tail.

Stephen X (Stephen X), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 00:35 (twenty years ago)

oh man this thread is going to make me cry

Mary (Mary), Sunday, 10 April 2005 04:16 (twenty years ago)

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 10 April 2005 04:25 (twenty years ago)

Sexy as all hell and classic (in my book).

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Sunday, 10 April 2005 09:38 (twenty years ago)

lumbar dimples!

kingfish maximum overdrunk (Kingfish), Sunday, 10 April 2005 09:43 (twenty years ago)

three years pass...

After some extensive comparative field studies I have found no correlation between the existence of these dimples and the hip size or the general size of a girl. So what causes them?

Tuomas, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:15 (sixteen years ago)

thumbs.

Mark G, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:19 (sixteen years ago)

i think everyone has them.

the next grozart, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:20 (sixteen years ago)

But some people on this thread clearly state that they don't have them.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:34 (sixteen years ago)

Needs more pix.

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:53 (sixteen years ago)

Or, fuck it, an entire site devoted to "backdimples".

http://backdimples.net/main.php

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 12:53 (sixteen years ago)

This reminds me of the time that TRACER HAND whispered, online, how much he loved chicks' waists.

From wikipedia's "Dimples of Venus" link, above:

These indentations are created by a short ligament stretching between the posterior superior iliac spine and the skin.

Well, there you have it in a nutshell.
