red crosses showing up instead of pictures, why? when?

well, I don't mean posting pics when I'd probably used the wrong formula.

I mean that when I post pictures they first show up in the thread as it should but next time I open the thread I just get a blank space with a red cross in the corner.

I t mostly happens when i post pics that I copy/paste from Magic Image Hosting. When i copy/paste the same way from Google it's normally okay.

does anyone else notice this?

i think most image hosting places have quotas and limits in terms of bandwidth used (x amount per month, say)

so the picture will display fine for a while, until the limit is reached from a bunch of people loading that page, then yr cut off.

this might be what's happening to you, but i could be wrong

also, the person hosting the site might suddenly realise all these people are seeing the pic without seeing the site they've gone and made (bandwidth stealing), and thought "well, fuck you, i'm a take it down then" - if its not there anymore, or they slight change the url...

maybe this is a Magic Image Hosting problem then, 'cause it only happens with my own opictures that I put on their site. i think ron comes close.

Magic Image Hosting seem to allow only one link a day, then "censures" the other pics by red crosses. (marked!)
