Oh yeah!

last night, I asked Tom what the origin of the "ebros" in his e-mail address. He explained that it was one that he used to share with his brother and it was short for "Ewing brothers". I blushed, as well I might, for it was REALLY OBVIOUS and I should've realised. So what really obvious things have you asked someone about and subsequently felt really silly as it was so obvious (perhaps showing your embarrassment by saying "Oh yeah" in a high-pitched voice and biting your lower lip with your incisors, thus looking really dorky).

Someone posted something about 'Love' which I thought was a bit facile, so I prepared a sentimental-yet-hardheaded, lyrical-yet- abstract exegesis on the mysterious nature of human attraction, then I realized the post was about COURTNEY Love

Ah me. I have some champion moments. Best perhaps was the entire summer of 1991, when my friend Kris C. would call me up and talk about Steve C., who was spending the season in the Bay Area, and how she missed him and all. The fact that the two of them were going out together was utterly unrealized by myself until a couple of days before he returned.

Then there was a time I asked a classmate of mine at UCLA out. Oops! Married -- *but* she split from her husband and we did end up going out for a while. Dude. ;-)

Pretty much everything I ask is painfully obvious. But I will never hold a question back.
