I can't believe I forgot The Time and THE JETS!!!!!!

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I thought the Jets were from freakin' Samoa.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Their parents (and some of the older ones) were. They relocated to St. Paul several years before recording their album, though.

"Curiosity" was a GRATE song, yo.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dan, I had consigned the Jets to the dustbin. You made them ESCAPE. Bad, bad Dan.

suzy, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The self-titled Jets LP was the first record I ever bought. They roXoRed.

I also forgot Lipps, Inc. "Funkytown" 4-EVA.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Minnesota has the Walker Arts Center. Therefore it thrashes Arkansas

anthony, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oooh, the Walker. My big art epiphany happened in a Jenny Holzer LED room there. Number 12 bus went straight there from my door in roughly 10 minutes when I were a nipper.

I ALWAYS play Funkytown when I DJ. However my first record was Arkansan Johnny Cash (ooh, irony). But he got out PDQ so that's OK.

And yes, MN pisses over AK like a Great Dane named Niagara.

suzy, Wednesday, 22 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Minnesota now has MEEEEEE. Arkansas can suck it.

I have only been inside one Hastings and it was in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have also been inside a couple Dairy Queens in Olmstead Co. Minnesota, and while I cannot make any Arkansas connections with those, the Dilly Bars were a total treat.

iiiijjjj, Sunday, 6 April 2008 19:12 (eighteen years ago)

HASTINGS is a fucking great store and a fun place to work.

Abbott, Sunday, 6 April 2008 19:13 (eighteen years ago)

They are only in cities less than pop. 100,000. It's a neat business model, I think.

Abbott, Sunday, 6 April 2008 19:13 (eighteen years ago)

I bought this book for my sister at a Hastings some months ago.
