soups, stews, curries, and sauces are a definite DUD in the bath due to spillage. there's nothing like your girlfriend coming into the bathroom while you're bathing and noticing a nebulous brown fog in the water.

"no really baby, i was eating a curry in the bath".

quickest way to get some raised eyebrows.

The duddest of dud, especially when eating anything likely to generate CRUMBS.

we once tried to convince our dog that bathtimes were fun by giving him little chocolate drops while he was having a bath.

it didn't work... bathtimes left him so traumatised that he was unable to swallow.

drinking in the bath=essential.

Drinking gin in hot bath = essential if you don't want the baby (says ye olde wyfe).

the eating-in-the-bath scene in Gummo is paradigmatic in ways that Bergman's chess-playing Death and Larry Clark's auto-asphyxiation cum shot deluxe scenes can only dream about.

Tea in the bath. Or coffee. eithers good. If it gets cold you can heat up the cup by dipping it in the water. Oh! and once you've drunk like half way down, the cup floats! Now how cool is that? Yeah, it's pretty sad...

I prefer to bathe at the dinner table. Those finger bowls represent a good idea that was never taken far enough.

Maria (Maria), Sunday, 15 December 2002 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

utter dud. guaranteed indigestion.

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 15 December 2002 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)
