i really really really want to dance (the half hour of good music that john kennedy played at the very end of last night did not quite fulfill me) but i'm totally skint.

should i go to track & field anyway in the hope that someone will buy me drinks? there are usually cute boys with good hair, and there is good tunage in the secret basement of 60's garage rock...

maybe i can specialise first... i mean, i'd be stupid not to go, now it's right around the corner.

Good tunage downstairs?? Once upon a lifetime maybe! Perhaps if you get EXTREMELY drunk first...

seeing as your taste is just about diametrically opposed to mine, sarah, i'll take that as a compliment. drunkenness at T&F is, however, urgent and key. poverty preventing me from buying my own, i may have to rely on the kindness of strangers... or cute boys. sigh.

if its right around the corner then i'd go...my problem is i always have to take 2 trains and a long walk to get to the clubs i wanna go to (but i'm only at the end of the central line!) - i assume you have wonderful friends who you can ring 5 minutes beforehand and they'll all turn up as well - lucky cah!

gareth (gareth), Friday, 13 December 2002 18:27 (twenty-two years ago)

ha, not Ealing, Ruislip (even worse) and i'll be moving to the sarf eest as soon as i can secure some kind of well-paid permanent appropriate job type thing rest assured

stevem (blueski), Friday, 13 December 2002 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

you should have gone for my flatshare man, although thats N1 rather than SE but, hell, you know. moet and millsart it would have been;)

gareth (gareth), Friday, 13 December 2002 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

didn't know about the FAP. oh well. am committed to going to T&F now, we've bought special, and i rang up my "glamourous novelist friends" i mean, my former housemate, and we're meeting up and we're going to DANCE.

however... this is the problems with living with someone who writes for an edgy style magazine. i get dressed, asked "does this look OK?" and while, with most people a yeah or errrmmmmm... would be suficient, suzy decides to STYLE me. gerroff!!! yes, i *DO* want to look like an extra from Beat Girl and not an xtra from a prml scrm video. sigh.

i wouldve gareth but altho there's plenty of money in the kitty now, its currently indeterminable whether there will be after chrimbo...unless i get a new job of course

stevem (blueski), Friday, 13 December 2002 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

the FAP is the Bar Billiards thing i presume? i want to know if its proper real bar billiards, with those weird horseshoe type things on the tables...

stevem (blueski), Friday, 13 December 2002 22:29 (twenty-two years ago)

it was! i'd never played it before, its really good though! we went to t&f after the fap, and we bumped into kate...

gareth (gareth), Saturday, 14 December 2002 13:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I believe Kate bumped into us seems more accurate.
