Soliciting

I really hate cold-calling. I try and avoid it at all costs. I am a wimp, too. On the other hand, every single job I have had that has compelled me to interact with strangers has increased my self-confidence. Maybe, after a few pleasant conversations, you will not mind it as much :-)

Seriously though, I know all about the cold-call. An unpleasant necessity if'n my band is to continue on our quest of world domination, at least until some sort of 'management' is in place.

OH, never mind.

Well, guess what??? I just made my first call and got to speak to the manager directly who said we could work something out where not ONLY do they contribute a gift certificate, but they'd also have free appetizers at our booth to advertise for themselves (and bring people to the booth).!!!!! Grebt! Maybe I won't have to make any more calls! (just have one out now to the boss to make sure this will fly)

I never get solicited. By whores I mean. They just look right through me. That's all soliciting means to me.
