What are some things you do to pass precious hours and bring yourself closer to death having accomplished practically nothing? Extra points if they're boring.

Relaxing on my bed in my room, staring into space and just zoning -- perfect way to kill time. Obsessively checking the message boards doesn't hurt either -- not per se boring in and of itself, but then again all I'm doing is just staring at a screen and reclicking my mouse over and over again. ;-)

This thing. Not ILE/M exactly but the Itronet in general. Pat answer, I know, but still troo. A more voracious time sink I've yet to find.

I spend my days playing Soul Calibur on Dreamcast, going to the mall to see bad movies and go to the arcade, hanging out at Burger King, watching baseball and the Real World, and playing poker. Sometimes I go to NYC to play pinball on the computer.

Not boring, but I have listened to Liberty Belle And The Black Diamond Express 9 times in the last two days.

I dress up like my friends to spite them, go to bars to convince the psycho bartenders that I am getting married, buy stickers and magnets, dye my hair. I also like to sit on my roof and drink.

I've been wasting time on the Internet and reading. Yesterday I embroidered, but that was so boring it was painful. Think I'll go listen to sleepy music.

I drive up the Angeles Crest Highway to a mountain trail, park, sit there a few minutes contemplating starting my hike, then drive back home.

I just sit on my cat. It dies. It dies everytime. He is a good freind.

Read every single last article in Metro very thoroughly. This does actually accomplish something though, namely the ability to come up with unlikely facts and events to entertain your friends in the pub e.g. fingerknob.

This website has wasted more of my time in the past month than anything else in my whole life ever.

Madchen, Friday, 24 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Richard, that's not a waste of time either.

I like making indexes to everything I own, but it takes too much time and makes me look like a freak. I wrote an index of everything mentioned in every letter I recieved in the past three years, so if I want to find a letter mentioning vegans or sneezing or depression, I have them handily indexed.

I also make lists of everything I own, or everything I can see, or everything I picked up when I cleaned.

Wow. That's impressive.

Lyra, Friday, 24 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

two months pass...
I write lists of things. Then decide that I have no need of such a list. And throw it away.

james, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sometimes I try on everything I own and then put it all back.
