Making the Band - PUffy style

Watched what seemed like an entire season the other night one episode after another. Anyone else watch that? Talk about drama!

But the rap battles were really cool. Really liked the rap battles in 8 Mile too...

Thoughts?

Chopper, its all about Chopper. Although I've only watched bits of this, I've been amused. Puffy's a major asshole though. I am gleefully waiting for the premier of the "Battle of the Sexes" on Monday nights.

Puffy is an ass, but he's so full of himself that it's fuckin hilarious to watch. He's like, "I respect everyone's opinions (ie: his staff) but in the end, I am El Presidente!"

All those 'draws' were obviously planned. And that NY rapper from the streets was way better than the Making the Band rep. No question.

I liked Frederick alot. Glad he made it.

Did anybody see the finale? This was a great show. It was like "Project Greenlight II" except this time the "directors" were great, and it was the talent that sucked.

Nobody saw this?? WHAT HAPPENED¿?? Was it more "The Natural - the movie" or "The Natural - the book"?

I didn't see the finale but I DID see the "Making The Video" for "Bad Boy This, Bad Boy That". Weak, weak, WEAK video, BANGIN' song.

I watched it. I was totally unimpressed by the kids but loved Puffy, even if he did come off as something of a rap rockist.

Rockism is your friend. Comic book rockism is your fate. (Not Comic Book Guy rockism, though, that would stink.)

Everything I know about comics I gleaned from Twisted Toyfare Theatre, so I don't think I have to worry about that.

Rah!

The singer was really passive and odd, the rappeuse was the only one I identified with, really. The best rapper was the big guy who never really talked much, which was a shame, because he just let everything in his group be dictated by COCKFARMERS. I mean yeah, the rasta-affected guy was the worst, he was the villain, but the rap chick was the only one who really busted chops and tried to get them together. But she got disgusted too quickly and easily, so she lost all her leverage. Ultimately is was just SADDENING to see them not get it together.
