i dont usually do new years resolutions, and ive decided against them again this year, too vast, too vague, plus new years resolutions always tend to be about abstinence, about stopping something...mine are more 'targets', things i want done, where i want to be. so i am going for achievable monthly targets this time out, and here are januarys:

1. keep room in a suitable state, especially getting rid of the horrible old sofa i inherited
2. bedtime at 11 on schoolnights
3. get the rest of my photos onto cd and backed up
4. be in the black with next paycheck
5. buy a rug
6. buy a midi controller keyboard
7. pass cisco exam
8. make sure all 8 weekend days are productive in some way (hangover/comedown is acceptable excuse provided i have had decent night out)
9. look at a couple of houses at end of month so i can think about what i want to do next

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 19 January 2003 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Not accomplished one single damned one of them. :-( I suppose I've got a week and a half, but seems unlikely.

kate, Sunday, 19 January 2003 21:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't failed in any of mine, but that was because I had the foresight to not make any, oh except of course to not ever in any way split infinitives, but that's easy to continually keep.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I've lost five pounds which is good. But I broke the 'Don't have sex until you get a job" resolution. Which is bad (yet good).

rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Rosemary, you tart!

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 22:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I've pretty much stuck to every resolution that I made and my life is in tatters! Something is wrong with this picture.

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 22:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I do feel very *in control* though. Pah!

Lara (Lara), Tuesday, 28 January 2003 22:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I went to London:) I saw Johnny Marr at the Bowery not the Mercury (pretty good) but I didn't fulfill any of the others. I made super easy and fun resolutions so as not to be hard on myself and I can't even keep them. And I fear that tonight I will watch the Gilmores, sigh. What mad antics will they get up to?
