I have lived in Canada since 1958. I am trying to trace relatives of my grandfather who owned a greengrocers shop in Edgeware in the 1940's and a pub "The Boot" around the same time. Can anyone help?

The spelling of Edgware has never really settled down - though the form without the e in the middle is now prefered). Buses from out Watford way would always put the extra e in (the 142 terminated at Edgeware), but London Transport are much keener on the version without the e - so it now has dominance.
