Woohoo! Now I'm the one who has to find a new place to live within a month or so.

I guess it's a bit of a relief -- as the renter's market here in Seattle is pretty good right now, and I've been wanting a place on my own for a while. But, damn, these things never happen when I expect!

So, um, wish me luck, guys. (:-D <---- nervous

good luck, I hope you find a nice place with a jacuzzi!

rainy (rainy), Saturday, 4 January 2003 23:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Good luck. I'd offer to help*, but I'm a bit far away.

* This offer is not transferrable to ILXers in London who move.

Gold luck, pierogi bitch!

rosemary (rosemary), Sunday, 5 January 2003 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

My dear DB, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I agree tis time you've space of your own. (I'll be glad to help you move,if I'm in the same timezone.)

You'll find your own castle, no problem....

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Sunday, 5 January 2003 19:44 (twenty-three years ago)

As mentioned on the phone yesterday, you'll do fine, sirrah. Just give all your music to me and you will not have to worry about worldly possessions anymore. Now isn't that NICE?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 5 January 2003 22:09 (twenty-three years ago)

best of luck, hope you find something you like lots better.

Maria (Maria), Sunday, 5 January 2003 22:41 (twenty-three years ago)

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 6 January 2003 02:55 (twenty-three years ago)

watch out, rosemary's been at the French '75 again

felicity (felicity), Monday, 6 January 2003 03:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Good luck! I'd wager a guess that it shouldn't be too difficult, if only because I know lots of people leaving the city, so I think there's lots of openings.

So instead, lots of luck finding a non-stormy weekend to move. I walked by some people trying to move in the pouring rain & crazy wind yesterday morning & I felt bad for them. :- (

lyra (lyra), Monday, 6 January 2003 03:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes! Lyra is OTM and TCHNTRNC. There are so many vacancies just blocks away from my house and beyond, it's sick (in a good way for me.. muahahaha) Rents are cheaper, far less hassle, and walking around today seeing Mt. Rainier, Olympics, and Cascades glimmering in the Sunset reminded me why I'm here. BAD RAIN, STAY AWAY ON MOVE DAY. There. It's all good.

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 6 January 2003 03:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, it was beautiful this morning with all the mountains out. AArrGGH! I may be moving back to the east coast next year, but it's so hard to think about when it's balmy out here & snowing back east.

lyra (lyra), Monday, 6 January 2003 04:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Ooh, feeling the Mt. Rainier envy. Good luck in your apartment search!

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 6 January 2003 04:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole, "feeling the Mt. Rainer envy" isn't a very good euphemism.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 6 January 2003 04:59 (twenty-three years ago)

I may be moving back to the east coast next year

:(

This from the man who is the king of such things.

Oho, so much for altruism.....beware the innocent faces. Cheaper rents mean more food and rock, even a better reason to move.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 6 January 2003 19:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Mmm, food and rock; the Whitney Houston diet.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 6 January 2003 19:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Martin S - I was hoping you wld lend a hand w/ the great Plumb dismantling on Jan 18th.

Andrew L (Andrew L), Monday, 6 January 2003 19:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry, I'm using this thread to post a personal message! Erm, gd luck DB.

Andrew L (Andrew L), Monday, 6 January 2003 19:41 (twenty-three years ago)

It's going around. I have to find a new place by the end of the month also.

Chris Barrus (xibalba), Monday, 6 January 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, Andrew, I'm almost certainly on to help if I can. Middle aged asthmatics are just what you need to help you move!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 6 January 2003 20:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Mmm, food and rock; the Whitney Houston diet.

Thank heavens you said 'rock.'

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 6 January 2003 20:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I wasn't talking about Christina Aguilera!

(You set 'em up, I KNOCK 'EM DOWN.)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 6 January 2003 20:25 (twenty-three years ago)

And thank heavens you said 'knock' -- thank heavens for Dan in general, really!
