Playing in the graveyard

I'm just wondering how many people got drunk, hung out or tried to scare themselves on acid, weed or other illegal substance in a graveyard when they were teenagers. I must have spent a total of 48 hours or more in graveyards from ages 15-19 until I finally realized it wasn't that fun, even when the guards were chasing you.

I have no drinking drug-taking friends. I am hopelessly uncool, I'm afraid.

I think I spent maybe an hour getting drunk in a graveyard a year and a half ago. In Winchester we have the wonder that is the disused quarter-mile long Hockley viaduct and the water meadows. So yeah, there are better places to go than graveyards.

Used to regularly play golf in the local graveyard. The ahem, obstacles could make for a prolonged game.

I really like graveyards.

We used to have game called "Icey Crotch" where you'd put all these ice cubesin yer trousers and run through the graveyard sining Christmas songs and the first one to do a backflip had to eat a whole appl epie with salt on it.

Mike, you are a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, covered by a blanket of mystery, smothered in secret sauce. Just like Tom Atkins.

HE CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER AFTER MEETING HIM BRIEFLY THAT COLD GRAY FEBRUARY DAY IN THE SOUTH HILLS VILLAGE MALL.

most of my hanging out in graveyards (& all of my booze & drug thrillz) got done as a post-teen. A late developer, I guess.
Dunedin has good cemeteries.

Also good, the cemetery under the Grafton Bridge in Auckland. Stuff I have done in there incl. - (description of illegal activity excised), (description of rooting activity excised).

Pam Grier won't have sex in a cemetary, she just said so on The Test. Here in western Mass., cops use graveyards as speed traps.

A friend of mine had a brother who died in a DUI accident (leading cause of premature death in my redneck homeland), and whenever he got really really drunk, he'd head down to the cemetary with a shovel to try and dig him up (or maybe join him in the coffin, he wasn't sure), we were constantly having to intercept him.

I went to a graveyard yesterday and lay in the sun. I never did any of the things you describe when I was a teenager.

At Leeds Uni, there's a delightful piece of Swedish prison architecture called the Henry Price Building which overlooks a graveyard - which must do wonders for depressed and homesick first year students. In the year that I lived there, I must've walked through it drunk and/or stoned a fair number of times, but don't remember actually getting spooked once. I find forests a lot more alarming.
